LG C2 42" OLED 4K TV: was $1,099 now $896 @ Amazon (opens in new tab)The excellent LG C2 OLED TV is now cheaper than it was last week. We named this stunning television the best TV of 2022. It combines exceptional picture-quality with a slick design. It's also ideal for gamers with a 120Hz refresh rate and offers all easy access to all the streaming services you could need. By comparison, Best Buy has it for $899 (opens in new tab).

Sony 55" A90J 4K OLED TV: was $1,999 now $1,399 @ Best Buy (opens in new tab)The A90J is Sony's best OLED TV. It features Sony's powerful Cognitive XR processor, which adjusts brightness on the fly to boost lights and deepen blacks without losing detail. You also get Google TV, HDR10/HLG/Dolby Vision support, built-in Alexa/Google Assistant, four HDMI ports, and more. The difference between the A80J and A90J is that the latter comes in a bigger 83-inch size, features a backlit remote, and packs Sony's heatsink tech, which results in brighter HDR pictures.

Samsung 55" 4K OLED TV: was $1,699 now $1,449 @ Best Buy (opens in new tab)Lowest price! Available in 55-inch and 65-inch sizes, the Samsung S95B is Samsung's first OLED and the first to combine OLED with quantum dots, resulting in a QD-OLED TV that promises the best of both technologies: superior color, brightness, and contrast in a single package. In our Samsung S95B OLED 4K Smart TV review, we said it largely delivers on its promise though it doesn't provide those perfect black levels of a pure OLED TV (especially if you're in a room with minor ambient light). Nevertheless, it's an amazing TV for movies, gaming, and everything in between. By comparison, Samsung has it on sale for $1,599 (opens in new tab).

That means you don't get that afterglow and light leakage that you typically see in LCD TVs. As a result, OLED TVs deliver intensely deep blacks that even the best QLED TVs can't rival. Sure, QLED TVs can be brighter than OLED TVs, but for the most pristine picture possible: OLED is still king.

Unfortunately, there's no single retailer that offers the best OLED TV deals. Instead, it's a mix of retailers that includes Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, and Newegg. If you're shopping for an OLED TV, our best tip is to compare that model's price across various sites, including the retailers mentioned above.

Why you should buy the 75-inch TCL 4-Series 4K TVTCL, one of the best TV brands because of the value that you can get from its products and a mainstay in our list of the best TVs, knocks it out of the park with the budget-friendly TCL 4-Series 4K TV. Its 75-inch screen offers 4K Ultra HD resolution with High Dynamic Range for lifelike details and vivid colors, and it's able to upscale HD content into near 4K quality. The 4K TV is also an attention-grabber with its sleek metal finish and edge-to-edge glass design, but you'll need to check out guide on what size TV to buy to make sure that it will fit where you're planning to place it in your living room or bedroom.

Why you should buy the 70-inch LG Nano 75 Series 4K TVLG, one of the best TV brands, uses its proprietary NanoCell display on the LG Nano 75 Series 4K TV. This technology enables a billion bright and bold colors on the 70-inch screen, for lifelike images that will make it seem like you're looking through a window. The TV is also powered by LG's a5 Gen 5 AI Processor 4K, which further enhances its 4K Ultra HD resolution with picture and sound adjustments made by AI. Gamers, meanwhile, will be able to make adjustments to all of the relevant settings through the Game Optimizer and Dashboard, for the best possible experience with their video games.

Why you should buy the 70-inch Insignia F30 Series 4K TVIt may not be as popular as the best TV brands like Samsung and Sony, but Insignia continues to release 4K TVs with low prices without sacrificing quality. The Insignia F30 Series 4K TV is a good example, as it will let you enjoy your favorite content at 4K Ultra HD resolution, while High Dynamic Range technology further boosts the picture quality with a wider range of colors and sharper contrast. The 4K TV aims to bring the cinema into your home with immersive audio enabled by DTS Studio Sound, but it's highly recommended that you invest in soundbar deals when you get the chance for an even better experience.

Full-array local dimming backlight: This term refers to a TV technology in which the backlight is behind the LCD panel and has individual zones that can turn on and off depending on the content. Such TVs are usually larger and more expensive to build and design, and more zones cost more. However, TVs with full-array local dimming typically provide the best LCD picture quality by improving contrast ratios and shadow detail.

The TCL 6-Series Roku TV sits at the top of our list of best TVs for a number of reasons. It offers superb picture quality, an affordable price tag and Roku, the best smart TV system. It also includes gaming features like 4K/120Hz input and variable refresh rate that can get the most out of consoles like the PS5 and Xbox Series X. When a friend asks me what TV to buy from 55- to 85-inches, and money is still an object, I tell them to get the TCL 6-Series.

Looking for a high-end TV with spectacular image quality, but don't want an OLED? The Samsung QN90B is your best bet. This TV uses QLED TV tech augmented by mini-LED for a brighter image than any OLED TV. The spectacular contrast of OLED still won out in our side-by-side tests, but the QN90B QLED screen comes closer than ever.

Among midpriced models we liked the TCL 6-Series just a little better in our side-by-side comparison, but this Hisense is a strong contender. Its excellent image quality is anchored by best-in-class brightness that improves its bright-room picture quality and makes HDR TV movies, shows and games really pop. It's actually brighter than the TCL with better contrast, but the TCL's slightly more accurate image gave it the edge overall. The Hisense uses Google TV instead of Roku, and unlike the TCL, the U8H includes an ATSC 3.0 tuner. Frankly, you can't go wrong with either one.

When we compared the best budget TVs side-by-side, the picture quality of Vizio's V-Series clearly emerged as the leader of the pack. The Vizio offered the most balanced and accurate picture during our comparisons, and it comes with some useful extras such as Dolby Vision support, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth compatibility and variable refresh rate for potentially smoother gaming. The biggest downside of the Vizio is its smart TV platform, Vizio SmartCast. It's crowded, slow and littered with ads for platforms such as Tubi and Kidoodle TV. Even when you factor in the cost of adding a new streaming device, however, the V-Series remains the best overall entry-level TV that we tested.

Amazon Fire TV 4-Series: One of many Fire TVs available for sale, this one is typical of the breed: so-so image quality and a smart TV system that lags behind Roku and Google TV. If you're a big fan of Alexa voice or see this TV at a really low price it might be worthwhile, but otherwise go for the TCL 4-Series. Read our best budget TVs roundup.

In our opinion bigger is better, and your money is best spent on large screen sizes rather than a slight upgrade in image quality. The answer also depends on room size and seating distance: If you have a big room and sit farther away, you'll want a bigger TV.

The Samsung S95B OLED is the best Samsung TV we've tested. It's in Samsung's 2022 lineup and the first OLED TV from Samsung in many years. It's a bit different from the very popular LG and Sony OLED TVs, as it uses a blue OLED backlight with a quantum dot filter layer. This allows it to display a much wider range of colors than traditional OLED panels, and colors get brighter overall, resulting in more vibrant, realistic colors.

The Samsung QN90B QLED is the best upper mid-range Samsung TV we've tested. Alongside the Samsung QN95B QLED, which is basically the same TV with an external connection box, it's Samsung's flagship 4k LED TV for 2022, featuring an impressive Mini LED backlight to increase the appearance of small highlights and reduce blooming in dark scenes. It's an excellent TV overall with a great selection of features, so there's something for everyone. It's not quite as good as the Samsung S95B OLED in a dark room, though, as there's still some blooming around bright objects, and blacks aren't perfectly deep and inky.

If you want something with better picture quality without breaking the bank, the Samsung Q80/Q80B QLED is the best mid-range Samsung TV we've tested. Stepping up from the Samsung AU8000, this is a good TV overall, with excellent peak brightness in SDR and decent reflection handling, so it performs well in a bright living area. Unlike most mid-range TVs, it also has a wide viewing angle, making it a great choice for a wide seating arrangement, as the image remains consistent even when viewed from the side.

The Samsung AU8000 is the best budget Samsung TV we've tested. Although Samsung isn't known for their budget models, this TV offers decent overall performance at a low cost. It's available in a wide range of sizes, from 43 to 85 inches, and they all perform like the 65-inch model we tested. Unlike Samsung's more expensive models like the Samsung QN90B QLED and Samsung Q80/Q80B QLED, it doesn't use quantum dot technology and can't display a wide color gamut.

Samsung TVs provide a performance suitable for most buyers, but they can also be costly compared to some competing brands. They generally perform very well and are among the best TVs on the market, especially if you want gaming features. However, competition is currently tightening up, so Samsung LED TVs don't seem to provide as much value as they previously did, but they also released one of the first QD-OLED TVs available. 041b061a72
